Default Arrowhead?

I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about climbing at Arrowhead in Milton. I recently moved to Georgia and have been checking out the cliffs from 89. Looks like there might be potential but the approach looks kind of sketchy and maybe it's total choss. If anyone has any info let me know. Thanks!

Hi Dean,

It's pretty chossy, it's a peregrine nesting site, and it's on private land. I've been up to the cliff a few times to help VINS do peregrine banding. The land owner was even a little touchy about falcon conservation efforts on his land- I don't expect him to be climber-friendly.

I didn't see any interesting cracks up there for trad climbing, a few faces that would make for a few interesting sport routes (though very chossy and right near the peregrines) and a couple of little ice flows.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
Travis

Thanks for the info. That's kind of what I figured but from the road it looked like there might be some potential. Maybe I'll hike out there at some point but it doesn't sound too appealing.
